Insomnia, A Day Zombie-MAGNET

3x4 inch MAGNETInsomnia, a day zombie. Just going through the motions. Part of my Mental Health Awareness Series. Sleep. So needed for human function. There were times where I literally did not sleep for weeks, it was actually painful. This piece represents the mind, how it is so full of thoughts, tasks, ideas...worries. It can be so overwhelming that some days, when you are supposed to be awake, you don't feel real. Like you are in a dream, about to lose your mind. You feel off balance, ready to fall forever. The desire to feel rested is so intense you find yourself begging, on your knees in tears pleading for sleep. But it never comes. Until it does. And finally, you are alive. And it is wonderful.
